Duties
Summary
The area of consideration for the declaration of this vacancy is eligible for employment under American conditions in the coming area of American citizens and non-citizens of the NATO country (excluding Germany) in Grafenovohr, Vilsack, and Netzburg. (MSP), involuntarily Separate Military Preference (ISMP) and Family Member Preferred Candidates have been included in the area under consideration.)
This position is located in the Child Development Center Netzburg.
Cook Cys Na Job Responsibilities
- Works as a cook in a Child and Youth Services (CYS) program, (IW) according to all applicable rules and standards.
- USDA enforces knowledge and skills to help plan and implement a comprehensive food service program that adheres to policies and procedures of Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP).
- Various types of food preparation and cooking functions such as cleaning, avoiding, peeling, slicing, diving; Grilling, frying, breaking baking, pouring fluid and mixing ingredients.
- The menu prepares different types of foods and sweets according to the requirements. Prepares and manufactures various complex / time-consuming foods. Adjust the recipes for large or small quantities.
- Operates a kitchen device designed to cook food items together. The use of power kitchen appliances, cleaning and maintenance, and keeps the cooking utensils clean and ready for use. Clears the scrubs and heavy pot and pan.

- Within 30 days of employment, the need for satisfactory completion of at least 4 hours of primary food hygiene and safety training and fresh training of at least 4 hours a year.
- According to AR 215-3, 2-15AM, satisfactory completion of the pre-employment background investigation, and a childcare tier 1 background check is required.
- Current health assessment should be done that documented DOD policy with good mental and physical health, freedom from transitive illness, and immune IAW current army and annual influenza vaccination.
Cook Cys Na Job Qualifications
At least a half year of work encounter specifically identified with the obligations portrayed over, that included ability in working with proficient kitchen machines and hardware. Have the capacity to impart (verbal and composed) in English. Capacity to lift and convey up to 40 lbs. on a normal premise.

Basic knowledge of the principles of cooking and the practical understanding of physical processes in cooking. Knowledge of appropriate cooking and preparation methods for different types of food items. The ability to determine and coordinate the preparation of many different food items to ensure that they are ready to serve the appropriate food. Knowledge of food, food safety, and proper storage methods for hot and cold foods to prevent loss or illness due to negligence. Ability to follow written and oral instructions, especially standard recipes, and detailed cooking directions. Skills in the operation and cleaning of various types of food service equipment, including special equipment for the preparation of food service equipment in large quantities. Skills in carving, garnishing and collecting attractive platters, salads, and other food presentations.
